In this course, we will systematically progress through the concepts and practices of Taijiquan to develop the student from beginner to advanced skill. We will do this through a series of modules that will each build upon the previous trainings. While many Taijiquan classes and courses focus on only one or maybe a few aspects of Taijiquan training and knowledge, this course is designed to take the student through all of the practices and theory in order to offer the most complete practice possible online. The skills and theory presented in this course are primarily based on the Chen style of Taijiquan. However, we will at times reference some of the other family styles and all of the core concepts presented are applicable to any of these styles as well. Additionally, we will explore complementary Qigong practices which will aid in developing the physical and energetic bodies for improved skill and general health. To progress through the course, simply start at the beginning and read or watch the material in order. Devote adequate time to your practice. I recommend not progressing to the next video or article until you are comfortable with the previous material. It will not serve to rush your training. The internal arts are a lifelong journey and should be enjoyed and savored slowly and steadily. Progress through just the first two modules will typically require at least 3-5 years. Modules three and four could be 10-15 years. Modules five and above could be as much 20-30 years, if they are achieved at all. The course will continue to grow and new lessons will be added regularly for life.
