Vitamin D deficiency is one of the most prevalent nutrient deficiencies in our modern world. With people increasingly staying indoors at work and at home, fewer people are getting out into the world and living the way we are designed to live. Add to that a diet of sterilized rubbish the overblown warnings about how "dangerous" the sun is (interesting that cancer rates have only risen in recent decades despite sunscreen not even existing until relatively recently in human history) and we have generations of pale, sickly, lethargic, malnourished people who live indoors on their screens.


In truth, vitamin D is one of the most vital nutrients for multiple body systems. Deficiency is associated with lowered immunity, bone weakness, vision problems, and various mood and mental health disorders, all of which have dramatically risen in recent years right alongside our increasingly sedentary indoor lifestyles.
